In an ongoing effort with Virginia Polytechnic and State University, Providence continues to look at evaluating and improving the Virtual Residential Program (VRP). Dr. Carol Bailey, a sociology professor from Virginia Tech has now completed her exploratory program analysis. Contracted in 2003, Dr. Bailey completed her initial outcome evaluation of the VRP Program in January of 2004, utilizing data from four states and including forty-two cases in her study. This final report includes these forty-two cases, plus fifty-six more cases whose youth and families completed the VRP program since January 2004. Overall, the report analyzes ninety-eight VRP cases in which discharge outcomes for clients and families were reported from four states (Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and North Carolina).

Learn more about the VRP Program through reading this shortened version of Dr. Bailey's full report and explore enhancing the VRP Program or initiating the VRP Program in your region.
